IS THIS A LOAN?

  • MCAs are NOT loans, it is a purchase of the company/business’ future sales/receivables at a discounted price for a short term.

HOW DO MERCHANT CASH ADVANCES WORK?

  • An MCA provider gives you an upfront lump sum of cash in exchange for an agreed portion of your future sales.
  • Instead of making one fixed payment every month from a bank account over a set repayment period, with an MCA you make daily or weekly “micro” payments until the advance is paid in full.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FACTOR RATE & INTEREST RATE?

  • A factor rate (FR) determines the cost of a merchant cash advance rather than an annual percentage rate (APR), which is common with business loans, lines of credit or credit cards.
  • The FR ranges from 1.1 to 1.5, although some funding companies may set it lower or higher.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MCA -VS- SBA?

  • Merchant cash advances are designed to be seamless & quick, addressing your business’ immediate needs, an MCA will give you quick access to un-collateralize sums of cash.
  • SBAs and conventional lending institutions mean lengthy waiting time, rigorous review of financial records and collateral.
  • Approximately 4% of SBA loans are approved– or given a less than adequate credit line.
